Fournos is a restaurant that specializes in “A Little Taste of Greece”. The weather was warm and the patio was jam packed at lunch time. The menu had a section called “Burger & Things” which made me love this family restaurant even more. The 6oz sirloin burger was good (but tasted like your standard burger). The bun was really good – covered the entire burger and was toasted for that little extra flavour. Was a little worried about the portion of fries (wishing I had more), however, the burger was dense and realized quick that it was just the right amount.
Burger FI (Commack, NY)
One reason to visit Burger FI – they are committed to being better through the “Never Ever Program”. This means their 100% Natural American Angus beef burgers are never exposed to steroids, antibiotics, growth hormones, chemicals or additives. This location also offers a 100% Plant-Based Beyond Burger, a Vegan Burger and a VegFi Burger. This burger was very tasty - comparable to a Wendy’s burger. Love that “BurgerFi” was branded into the hamburger bun. Speaking of buns, there was a good bun to meat ratio. The fries were hand-cut and cooked in peanut oil (just like Five Guys!) which gave them a better taste.
Mountain Burger (Hamilton, Ontario)
AAA double patty on a plain sesame seed bun. Unbelievable taste with a solid caramelized crust for the perfect Smash Burger. (One of the best in Hamilton so far) Fries were standard traditional straight cut - be sure to eat them first as they taste best when they are hot. The extra order of onion rings was the right move as they had a good onion-to-breading ratio and I found them to be less greasy as other onion rings.
